Hey! I’m Hannah, the hands behind Roam On Creations. I grew up in the southeast and developed a love for creating at a very young age, finger painting with mud and coloring outside of the lines. As I grew older I began taking art lessons at a local studio, painted multiple murals at my schools and even went through a phase where I was inspired by Tangled and painted two of my bedroom walls with bold and funky abstract shapes (thanks Mom & Dad for always supporting my chaotic creativity).

I went to college in the mountains of North Carolina and studied outdoor education, spending my days romping around in the woods and teaching students about ferns. Life got busier, I discovered new passions, and my artistic side was put far on the backburner. Fastfoward to the infamous 2020 quarantine and I found myself living at home again, with lots of time on my idle hands and an itch to occupy them. I started doodling in the evenings to pass the time and felt the lines flowing again like they had years ago. Also an avid outdoorswoman and traveler, I began drawing landscapes that held special memories from past adventures and each line felt unique and intentional. I moved from my North Carolina home to Colorado, and everything fell into place as I continued squiggling lines and gifting my drawings to others so they can also be reminded of their sweet memories in these wild places. I’ve worked seasonally the past few years, but moving to Grand Junction has allowed me to begin planting deeper roots in my communities and growing as an artist - which brought me here, to you!

The definition of roam is “to move about aimlessly or unsystematically, especially over a wide area.” Life moves way too fast, and we often forget to pause, slow down, get outside and just roam. It’s my goal with my art to connect humans to these wild spaces, remind them of their memories, and inspire them to slow down and roam on.
